I'm new to this forum. I've tried to start an e-business some time ago but it shut due to lack of traffic. I've tried Google AdWords but it appears that I'm paying for mostly unconverted traffic. Also, the traffic that comes in is really quite low with barely 300 a month.

Is there any advice on how I can pull in loads of traffic in a short amount of time for a new startup? Or at least generate enough traffic in say, 3 months time?

depends on your budget, the fastest way to generate traffic is to buy a expiring domain, some of them have say 10k uniques a month and are expiring, but expect to pay a nice fee for these, snapnames.com - offers backordering and these can be targetted or untargetted traffic.

you could submit alot of articles to digg.com and other article submission and forums, people will click on your signiture.

But the way for long term traffic is to work your way up google, through SEO, backlinks and content etc.

1. Promote at YSM
2. Promote at blog
3. Promote at forum signiture
4. promote at Google adword

its still very difficult. I have yet to make it happen even with doing these things

FTo generate traffic u can go for Signature advertisement in many of the good PR forums. Go for Directory Submissons and also for Link Sharing as well.

theres always stumble upon, lots of people offer a 1:1 stumble
seo is the best and most effective,
directories offer you traffic

thanks for the information, I also don't know how to start in getting traffic to my website and blog. Now I have ideas to have more traffic and more sales

I think joining auto-surf sites is a good idea.

buy some cheap traffic from specialised websites...just search google
