Hmmm, what makes you think that? To me I think adsense is hard to calculate on return. you never know how much you will be paying. Google keeps it all secrets. But selling products, you can easily calculate on your return on investment which I think there are still many people doing on the net these days.

quick update: i've recently started with adsense and i'm making a small amount but its quite fun, setting targets each month and trying to break them the next, i suggest you don't get into adsense for the 'money' if you get me, get into it and use it to set goals - try and smash them each month - you will do far better from it.

google has per click and impression based payment as well which is good for webmasters, clicks is easy and fast revenues.
also the ads quality is superior, and it has reliant ads which is good for users

It all ties into products anyways, digital or otherwise. I would imagine that it's easier to run a blog, and get paid for ads, then it is to make a blog promoting a product (easier to see revenue from, as well).

Different ways of getting revenue from different sources, I would imagine.

Google Adsense is also all about selling product and making money. I think if you use it wisely, it will give you great ROI. Its a great tool for small or big business to reach their customers quickly.

I don't have any personal experience, but have been wanting to start up my own blog... for fun and for money....more fun!

I would love to find ways to create a blog and make money though... seems there are a lot of people out there wanting to do the same thing.
