Hi mattonline,

SEO is an area that I have dabbled in to get my websites out there. My advice to you is to go for off-site optimization as well as on-site!

Now I found your forum on Google and I expect that this is where you would want to see a lot more new members coming from. If so then you first need to work out what people are typing in google to find you. I typed 'entrepreneur forum' and you came up second. Your only competition was www.youngentrepreneur.com. Now you may not get a good number of visitors from that search term as maybe not many people type it in google.

I suggest that you make a list of what people are typing in google by using http://www.goodkeywords.com which is a free software.

When you have these 'keywords' then it is onto step two. Which I will explain when I have a bit more time.

Oh and it you want to find out if off-site optimisation is worth it then look at http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourc...q=hypnotherapy - I am third - for a very competitive keyword, thats not bad!

Ok here are some of the keyword suggestions i have put in. (Meta Keywords)

Entrepreneur Forum, business forum, forum, entrepreneur, entrepreneurs, business, UK forum, uk business forum, young entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs, entrepreneur, young entrepreneur, business, small business, young business, youth business, business forum, ceo, famous entrepreneurs, Business entrepreneur, successful entrepreneur, Social entrepreneur, Women entrepreneur, entrepreneur idea, entrepreneur networking, Black entrepreneur, top entrepreneur, Business School

Will these help, and will it damage the forum to have to many, and untargeted keywords such as 'famous entrepreneurs'

Hi Mattonline

Now cut your list down to five and we will be a little experiment. Cut out the ones like 'ceo' and 'UK forum' and just keep it specific. Once you have got success with these five you will be about to implement your others in the future.

OK - now the work begins. Write an article of only 400-450 words. Know I do this twice a day, but you can do it once a week if you want - its just that I am hell bent on success! Then you need to submit your article to the following two services;

1. www.isnare.com - pay for their distribution at about $2 per article
2. www.ezinearticles.com

When you submit your article you will see that there is an author resource box for your bio. Write the bio with two 'text links' in it. The text links should include one of your keywords each and should point to the page that you are optimising.

Keep to your schedule that you set yourself. If you are just submitting one article per week then just keep to one keyword as to see the results of your efforts quick.

I am currently doing this at the moment and just started 'step 3' yeaterday. To see how I have got on check these two links;

Hypnotherapy - http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourc...q=hypnotherapy

Hypnosis - http://www.google.co.uk/search?num=1...hypnosis&meta=

I am optimising for www.richardmackenzie.co.uk

mattoline - when we have seen an increase on your google rankingd for your keywords then I will share step three.
